People usually have this perception that you always need to be ahead of time. They want to plan everything out. They have their hopes up all the time and when the results are not up to the mark then they complain about life not being fair to them. Now to everyone reading this post, I’d like to ask you that how many times did you plan stuff out? And how many times did you achieve your planned target without any changes? If you are anyone like me then surely you would have achieved your day-to-day goals or maybe bigger goals important to you but not the way you planned. Planning gives you a rough idea on how to approach your goal, it does not guarantee fulfilment of that goal the way you planned it. This is something most of us don’t want to accept, whether we know it or not. Look, there are two types of people, the first are the ones who plan years ahead of their life in great detail and second, the ones who go with the flow. Now planning is a good deed and one should plan in order to know what he wants in life because going with the flow will only make you very confused about almost everything happening around you. But you shouldn’t expect things to happen exactly the way you want it to happen.
It’s okay to NOT have a plan. You need not stress if you’re all messed up and confused. If you don’t know what to do then it’s just fine. Things sometimes never happen the way we want them to, so not having a plan is also fine. If you are that type of person who doesn’t plan stuff out, then don’t change yourself to compete with your peers, be yourself. Never change yourself to achieve your goal because someone thinks you should change. It’s your goal, Not the goal of the person who asked you to change. So live your dream and do all you can in our limit to reach and achieve that goal.
Sometimes it’s just good to live in suspense and Not plan ahead. I personally was the kind of person who used to plan literally years ahead of my life and used to freak out if I couldn’t make a “good enough plan” but then I realized that planning in such detail wouldn’t help me because things rarely happened the way I wanted them to. It was as if there was an external force changing and spoiling my plans quite frequently. Living in suspense is just an Amazing Adventure that you should surely experience. Now, there are times I’m confused and feel hopeless because of my ineffective planning, at these times I just get the thought of planning off my mind and concentrate on my present.
People often tend to ignore the small day to day goals, they often think that it’s the “ultimate” goal that matters. I however, disagree with people with such mentality. They don’t seem to realize that making day-to-day goals is much more effective than making long term goals. If you climb a ladder then you’re more likely to reach your destination without much effort than if you jump directly on your destination.
So the main objective of this blog is highlighting your approach to achieve your goal. You needn’t worry if you haven’t planned ahead already and you certainly do not need to plan years ahead. Having a rough idea of your goal and making day-to-day plans instead of long term plans or no plans at all, will be the most productive way to approach your goal.
